Knitting's counterpart.

The reason this blog is called Knit and Watch is because while I knit, I watch TV. Or rather while I watch TV, I knit. I'll admit - I'm a TV addict. And I've learned to embrace this sickness.

I'll also admit that more than 50% of my TV viewing is non-intellectual, suspend-all-reality, I-can't-believe-I'm-watching this-but-I-will-continue-to-do-so crap. And I've an average of 4 hours of programming that I have to watch nearly every day of the week. Thank god for PVR - if it weren't for this wonderful piece of technology, I'd have no social life, choosing instead to catch up with my shows. (I'd sing TiVo's praises instead, but unfortunately in Canada, we don't have this, just like we don't have the Kindle, and it took us forever to get the iPhone, but I'm not bitter).

Of course, knitting something while I'm watching TV justifies the time I spend in front of the idiot-box. And when I'm watching something worth watching, it justifies why I'm knitting. One addiction feeds the other, I guess.
